An Individual

Individual - a person, distinct, aware,

mature, with thoughts, opinions,

morals of own, with an ethical system

imbibed, choices, decisions, commitments, internal guide.

Revolutions of the French, the American, and the modern law, 

school time inspirations to look up to and grow.

Grown, matured, elaborated in all sides,

with difficulties of adult life, silenty in hide.

Moulds, constraints, limitations, restraints,

society, family, coercions to change.

For it's motivations lasting not long,

and hopes periodically crashed,

with little energy or resources,

to find purpose, meaning or work,

With diverging goals and not one align, 

of survival and support, there's only sign.

Crushed, defeated, changed its course, with some resentment and a little remorse,

surrendered to the life forces, the flows of life.

In surrender, vectors align,

flows pass through, supports intertwine,

motivations, meanings, refreshed anew,

idea of individual looked at from a new view.

An idea to be invoked, in extreme situations for protection of social order, in legal clerical matters for the sake of convenience and responsibility fixation,

to add beauty, and unique characters in daily life, 

but not a  reason to part ways with significant others,

nor to venture alone without our brothers.

A concept to meditate upon,

a food for thought,

individual exists, practically naught.

Family, partner, workplace group by,

power, impact, aptly apply.

Ideas, visions interact in course

utilisable results, collective discourse.

To be able to share collectively, the pleasures and the pain,

rationale enough for regularisation of the compromises of which resentments remain.
