On Identity
Identity is an idea of one's virtues and vices, recognised by oneself and validated by significant others.
An identity crisis involves self-doubt, exacerbated by doubt from significant others. Faith in oneself, and faith in us from significant others, are the medicine to elevate from the crisis. In depravity of such faith, one may succumb to a toxic self-image and unleash demons that otherwise could have been kept calm with love. Love is an insufficiently appreciated medicine for most mental illnesses.
